Paralegals
Jared
Marks & Associates provide the recruitment of
all levels of paralegals to law firms and
corporate legal departments. The paralegals we
represent have the education, training or work
experience to be able to perform substantive
legal work. These professionals are able to
recognize, evaluate, organize, analyze, and
communicate relevant facts and legal concepts.
1. Paralegal. Many corporate legal
departments and law firms are now hiring
experienced paralegals rather than entry level
attorneys in order to provide attorneys with an
advanced level of support on complex
assignments. These very capable individuals
require minimal supervision and often take an
active leadership role in case management. There
is a growing trend in law firms to require
paralegals to have both a 4 year degree and
paralegal certificate.
2. Junior Paralegals/Project Assistants.
Recent college graduates are now being hired as
Junior Paralegals to perform basic paralegal
tasks as they learn the necessary skills to
advance to the next level. Junior Paralegals
often aspire to attend law school and are asked
for a minimum two-year commitment. Firms are
also creating Project Assistant positions for
college students and recent college graduates.
These professionals work under the supervision
of more senior paralegals on the task, such as
bates-labeling, quality checks, database updates
and basic research. This gives them the
opportunity to see first hand what is required
of a paralegal.
3. Litigation Support Professionals.
Many law firms are now turning to Jared Marks &
Associates for Litigation Support Specialists.
These individuals are responsible for providing
administrative, technical and operational
integration of litigation support technology to
the Firm's attorneys, paralegals and support
staff. Typically, these professionals create and
update reference guides and procedures related
to database configurations and functions.
